TIKA hospital ready for operation

LAHORE: Board of Management will be constituted for operating affairs of 50-bed hospital constructed by Turkey in village Rukh Khanpur, Muzaffargarh. This was informed at a meeting of the committee constituted
by Chief Minister Punjab for making TIKA Hospital Muzaffargh functional. Convener of the committee, Dr Zafar Iqbal Qureshi presided over the meeting attended by Special Secretary Health Babar Hayat Tarar, Additional Secretary Development (Health) Ghulam Farid, Additional Secretary Welfare Masood Mukhtar, Director General PDMA Muhammad Asif, Chief Operating Officer PRSP Allah Rakha Aasi, Deputy Secretary (Health) Development Abdul Haq Bhatti, District Monitoring Officer Muzaffargarh and other officers attended the function.–Staff Reporter
The meeting was informed that construction of 50-bed state of the art hospital has been completed and it would soon be provided equipment and modern machinery. Matters regarding setting up of Board of Management to look after the administrative affairs, recruitment of doctors, nurses and paramedical staff, annual expenditure and provision of medical facilities to the local population were considered in the meeting. It was proposed that affluent persons of Muzaffargarh, elected representatives, officers of health and other departments, members of NGOs and TIKA representatives be inducted in the Board of Management and this process be completed as early as possible.–Staff Reporter
